Sometimes life gives you lemons, and sometimes life hits you with the produce truck. This has been a heck of a year for our coach/friend/teammate, Will, and in a tragedy of timing, he lost his access to good health insurance right before going through three of the most traumatic and serious injuries of his life.
International medicine is expensive, and medical care in the States is even more so. None of this has been easy on a mountain biking teacher’s salary, and Will is currently struggling through a frightening amount of medical debt. So many of us appreciate and rely on Will’s eternal optimism, humble attitude, and perfect kindness, and desperately want an opportunity to help. Let’s make this one bad year, not an experience that has to influence his decisions for the next decade—we can help him put this horrifying year firmly in the past.
