Hi everyone,
I’m Amanda, mom to my wonderful son, Theodore, and I’m writing to you today with an exciting opportunity for him. This fall, Theodore has an opportunity to be in an intensive physical therapy program at Move Pediatric Therapy in Charlotte, NC, and we need your help to make it happen.
This program is specifically designed to maximize Theodore’s progress in a short, powerful burst. Over five days, he’ll receive 10 hours of hands-on therapy, focusing on advanced techniques like Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) and Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT). These are highly effective therapies that work to re-wire the brain for improved movement and function, which is crucial for Theodore’s development.
Our hope is that this intensive week will unlock new abilities for Theodore, particularly in areas like:
More natural upper and lower extremity movements
Increased weight-bearing and stability
Independence in transitioning from seated to standing
Kneeling and potentially hands-and-knees movements
Overall enhanced gross motor skills
The total cost for this one-week, 10-hour intensive program is $2,000. While his regular therapy is covered, specialized intensives like this are not reimbursed by our insurance plan. We’re also planning to stay locally in Charlotte to ensure Theodore is rested and ready for these challenging but impactful sessions.
