Transform a Life: Fund Full Mouth Restoration

I had all of my upper teeth extracted last November due to excruciating pain, and many of my teeth needed root canals and crowns redone which I could not afford. Every time I would got a root canal I would still suffer from immense pain. This caused me to throw up on myself and punch myself in the face to distract myself.

The root canals I DID have done (3 in 2023) put me in debt, and when I went to try and get the others done I was denied by Carecredit due to my limit being exceeded from the previous root canals and interest.

I started losing hope and I couldn’t stand the pain so I decided to extract all of my upper teeth because they were worse due to not being protected by my salivary glands.

It came out to around $3000 in total which was better than 30k to replace all of my crowns and do root canals. I had needed 3 more root canals on the top, the ones that had root canals done were still throbbing months later, and 2 root canals on the bottom. I didn’t see the point in saving them.

I have been suffering with dental issues since I was young due to medication for ADHD, dry mouth, and grinding.

I needed almost all of teeth crowned at 17 from extensive decay and tooth loss. One of my teeth fell out in my sleep in 2021. I also was diagnosed with GERD in 2020 due to stress which further exacerbated my symptoms. Multiple of the crowns I had done had open margins which allowed bacteria in the openings to infect my teeth and re-decay.

It got so bad in 2020 that I had to go to the ER from a dental infection that caused my eye to turn black and my whole face to puff up.

I decided to keep my lower teeth due to what I have heard of dentures on the bottom not suctioning like uppers, but I am still in pain. My four front lower teeth are mobile and wiggle when I touch them, and all of the teeth need to be re-crowned or crowned. I only have three left on the bottom that have not been crowned but have deep decay and are extremely sensitive.

I am currently still in a temporary denture. It is uncomfortable, crooked after a soft reline, and the occlusion (bite) is terrible. I need a ton of glue to keep it in and it’s embarrassing.

I started this fundraiser to get a permanent upper denture, fix the crowns on my lowers (possibly extract the 4 lower mobile teeth and get a partial), and maybe get implants in the future before I loose all of my bone.

I need a FULL mouth restoration.

I am a dental assistant and I now plan on getting all of the treatment done where I work, once I have raised enough to cover the permanent denture, all of the lower crowns, and any root canals. It is important to get them done with one office and at the same time so that my bite matches because it is such a complex case. I have not worked at my office long enough to get an employee discount.

No I can’t get the work done for free (I wish). I finally work at an office that does full upper implants. My previous offices have been hesitant to help, I am assuming because it would take a huge block out of their day and they need me to work, and they would be making less off of me. Unfortunate!
