I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share some devastating news about my health. Last year, I was diagnosed with Takayasu’s Arteritis, (TAK) a rare and very aggressive form of Vasculitis. The progression of my disease has been more rapid than anticipated, and my specialist team continues to battle to save my life and preserve my quality of life. The disease causes the thickening and narrowing of vessel walls, and its causes are unknown.
After spending nearly three weeks in the hospital and over a week in ICU, undergoing surgeries to improve my condition and reduce inflammation, I am now able to eat. However, the treatments have been unsuccessful, and the harsh reality is that the inflammation may block my artery, leading to catastrophic consequences. The surgery I had 3 months ago is failing. It is crucial that my body responds to the medication and surgeries, allowing the inflammation to subside and my arteries to open. I will require ongoing treatment for the rest of my life, with a prognosis of 6-9 years, God decides not a Dr.
This unexpected diagnosis has been devastating, with significant financial and emotional implications. I am heartbroken and scared. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and consider supporting me. God Bless!
