The Young Family in time of need

Our names are Ronnie and Karen Rentz and we am creating this fundraiser to help some very dear friends with medical expenses and financial needs.

Our dear friend, Tracy Young, was diagnosed with cancer on April 3, 2025. On May 20, 2025, he was admitted to Holston Valley Hospital with excruciating pain. His family was told that he had developed an infection and was septic. Holston Valley was supposed to transfer him to UT but would not sign transfer papers to go to UT and wanted to send him home. His wife (Becky Russell-Young) and daughter (Stephanie Spangler-Falin) signed him out of Holston Valley and brought him straight to UT hospital on June 1, 2025, where he was admitted into ICU. He was diagnosed with E-Coli, which the doctors believe came from his port and had entered his bloodstream. He is having confusion, fluid retention (started dialysis), white count still increasing (instead of going down), and unable at this time to eat or be fed through a G-tube. Surgery is not an option for him due to past abdominal reconstructive surgery. Even on multiple antibiotics, the infection is not improving. On June 16, 2025, Palliative care came in to discuss end of life care with his wife. His prognosis is not good. If possible, please help this family by donating to help with medical expenses and funeral expenses, when the time comes. Even If unable to donate, please send prayers for him and his family during this time of need.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
