Wendy Stenzel has been an active and cherished member of the Los Angeles arts and music community since her punk rock teenage days. Through her work representing and producing for photographers, directors and other artists, she has provided work for and championed many fledgling creatives that otherwise may not have been able to make ends meet- all the while doing it with her infectious sense of humor.
The last several years have posed many challenges for Wendy’s health- she has had multiple open heart surgeries and has made recovery look easy. Unfortunately, Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer this year. It sucks!!! The good news is, the doctors at Keck caught it early and it is theoretically treatable, but will be extremely expensive and painful.
The medical bills have already started piling up. As we know, cancer is costly. :/
She is having surgery on June 24 and will require both radiation and continued treatment following the procedure. Post surgery recovery will entail bed rest as well as expensive post-op in home equipment. Needless to say, Wendy will not be able to do the work she loves so much for several months.
We are asking the community that Wendy has so selflessly and generously nurtured for so many years to please consider contributing to her in this time of need. You know she wouldn’t hesitate to give her last dime to others and we are hoping that we can come together in support to remove the added financial stress of this health crisis. Please consider helping in any way you can, and feel free to send to others who love Wendy if you feel called to.
Thank you so much
Margaux
