My name is Trisha Weymuth, a lot of people know my story but for those who don’t I’ll explain. On February 21st, 2025 my husband, my 3 girls and I were heading home on hwy 54 from having dinner in Nevada Missouri. A car coming down c hwy ran a stop sign causing us to collide. My husband died in the wreck, I was life flighted in serious condition and had to have multiple surgeries during my hospital stay, luckily my 3 three girls made it with minor injuries.
My injuries included my left hip being dislocated, the left side of my pelvis broke in 6 places, my tibia broke in 2 places, my nose was split in half and broke all the way into my right eye socket and cheekbone. Along with multiple other minor injuries. I have acquired foot drop in my left side now due to nerve damage that may or may not be able to be corrected and am still possibly looking at more surgeries on my left leg and face.
On June 04,2023 I lost my 18 year old son in a car accident. We had just really gotten to feel like our lives were getting back to a “normal” when our wreck happened and turned our lives right back upside down.
I am now a widow at 40 years old, we went from a 2 income household down to nothing. I have no idea if or when I will be able to go back to work. My husband had just started a new job and did not have any benefits yet or life insurance. I still have two 16 year old daughters and a 18 year old daughter at home. Any funds we had are gone due to trying to pay bills, food, daily necessities, co pays out of pocket, some of my medicine has not been covered by insurance, I’ve had to buy several medical devices and supply’s out of pocket. I’m in a position that I don’t know what to do other than reach out and ask for help. Even if you can just share this, everything and anything is so appreciated.
