Hello everyone, I am making this fundraiser page to help my brother-in-law and his family. They need the community’s help. He never wants to ask for help with anything. He is always the one to give his help to anyone and everyone with anything they need. He always puts others before himself, and now he needs our help, but he wouldn’t ask for it, so I am asking for the help for him. Please find it in your heart to help our family; every penny counts.
Here is a little breakdown of his story:
His name is Tom. He joined the army in 1980 and served our country for 17 years. In 1996, he was hit by a drunk driver and suffered bad injuries. At that time, he was honorably discharged from the army WITH NO BENEFITS. So, he got a full-time job to take care of his family, and life was back to normal. That is when, in 2020, his life was turned upside down. Tom had a heart attack in November 2020, and he was revived. Then he had a second heart attack in December 2020. Six stents were implanted, and in February 2023, he had a defibrillator, also known as a pacemaker, implanted. At this time, he is no longer able to work. In March 2023, he had a massive stroke and a blood clot in the right side of his brain. The doctor saved him, and he started to feel much better. Things were going good, and in March 2025, he went into the ER for chest and back pain. That’s when he got the worst news of his life! Tom found out he has stage four lung cancer, two masses on the lung, and also found out he has cancer in his lower back (L5) as well as his lymph nodes!
Since the life-changing news, he has done 10 days straight of radiation on his spine. He needs months of chemo treatments. He has had to miss two rounds of chemo so far and will miss more due to him losing his medical coverage because the state says he makes too much money, and they took away his medical insurance. Without chemo, what do we do? They gave him one to five years to live without it!!!! He only gets SSD. How is a person with cancer supposed to get the treatment they need to survive? Now the medical bills are through the roof, and he can’t get his chemo. Please, any amount helps. Please find it in your heart to donate and help my brother-in-law to kick cancer’s butt!!!!
Thank you to anyone who is able to help, and even if you can’t, please find it in your heart to share this with as many people as possible. It takes two seconds to save a life.
