Appeal by Peggy Sproehnle, Rob’s aunt:
I am asking for your help for my nephew Rob (42 years old) who was diagnosed with stage IV cancer shortly after the birth of his 4 year old daughter in 2021. Rob is starting the process of a medical retirement from the Air Force National Guard where he served as a Captain. He faced the struggle of working and going for chemo treatments, juggling his physical needs, with the needs of his home life, wife and newborn daughter. As his cancer metastasized (spread to other parts of his body) he no longer had the energy to work so was forced to go on disability in 2022, which reduced his income by 1/3. Although he continues to have complications, he has not given up; this fight is not over even though he can no longer work and is struggling with finances.
As you can imagine, the costs associated with his cancer, i.e., chemo, radiation treatments, pain management medications, as well as a host of other treatments over the past few years have risen dramatically. Add that to normal family household expenses while trying to pay down debt such as student loans and credit cards, you can see how impossible it is.
Your donation to Rob’s healing and recovery is greatly needed and very much appreciated. Every donation helps, no matter how small the amount. Even $15 helps pay for gas to and from the hospital which is an hour drive each way for his chemo or radiation treatments. Rob is mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted.
I thank you so much for your donation. I want you to feel confident these funds go directly to Rob and his family. Your love and support means so much and helps my nephew Rob get closer to a better quality of life while fighting this life threatening disease.
Please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, community, or church. Each time you share this fundraiser it helps Rob get closer to his goal of being able to continue to pay his bills and providing security for his family during this turbulent time for him.
