Dear friends, family, and community,
My name is Nora, and I’m writing from Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras, where I’ve been living and serving for the past year and a half. This time has deepened both my faith and my calling as a social worker — reminding me daily that healing happens in community, and that none of us walk this journey alone.
I’m now facing a deeply personal challenge: I need to return to the United States for essential medical appointments that cannot be delayed. These are critical to maintaining my health and quality of life, and they involve care I simply cannot access here.
Unfortunately, I am not in a financial position to cover the cost of travel, and I’m turning to my community — with humility and hope — for support.
Your gift, whether financial or in the form of airline miles, will help cover:
✈️ A flight back to the U.S.
Ground transportation to medical appointments
Travel expenses during treatment
As a social worker, I’ve spent my life advocating for others, walking alongside individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments. Now, I find myself on the other side of that equation — learning to receive, to trust, and to lean into the same grace and care I’ve tried to offer others.
If you are able to contribute — even a small amount — or if you’re willing to share this fundraiser with your own circle, I would be incredibly grateful. If you have airline miles and are willing to help book a flight, please contact me directly.
I trust in God’s timing, in the power of community, and in the kindness of those who show up when it matters most. Thank you for being part of that.
With gratitude, faith, and love,
Nora
