Hello, my name is Nicolas. I’m 17 years old and currently in the middle of dental work. I’ve had to get a root canal, multiple fillings, and have had a crown done so far. I’m planning to get multiple crowns done, an extraction on a molar, more fillings, and a bridge. I’ve struggled with dental health since childhood, and I’m trying my hardest to fix things and get on the right and healthy track. Things have been going fine, and my insurance has covered most of it. Recently, however I found out the cost of my bridge was in the $4,500 range, and my insurance doesn’t cover it.
I’ve been working hard at my job to try and save the money for it, but I’ve been living with my mother in a hotel for the past 5 months and have been saving up to move out and get into a stable living situation when I turn 18 this August. Getting my treatment is essential but will set back my plan to move back by months. Without getting the bridge done, my dentist told me my molar next to it will start to shift, and that will cause bone loss and the loss of other teeth.
I’ve currently applied for Modest Needs and have been looking for other options, such as financing with my mom, but she doesn’t have high enough credit to do that. Being able to pay for my treatment would be life-changing, not just for my health but my living situation too. I know it’s a lot, but I thank you dearly for your generosity and for taking the time to read this, I wish you the best day.
