My mother was diagnosed with stage three metastatic breast cancer in December 2023.
She underwent chemo treatment, then received a mastectomy just three days after her 51st birthday, and just recently completed her radiations. She is now on medication for 5 years.
Now you can believe just how costly everything has came out to be. Despite having health insurance, we are still in about 6k in just medical debt.
My family is a humble hard working Mexican family. My father works as a roofer and my mom works in a factory assembling plastic containers. We are not asking for much, just enough to cover the medical expenses.
