Our community’s favorite Elvis aficionado and impresario of POW! Pro Wrestling, Mister Ooh-La-La, is heading to surgery on June 30th at OHSU.
After months of dizzying tinnitus, Mister was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma (a non-cancerous tumor that grows on the auditory nerve and is slowly drilling its way out through his ear).
The tumor has greatly distorted his hearing in his right ear along with various balance and vision problems that continue to worsen as the tumor grows.
After many months of waiting, Mister’s surgery was scheduled for June 30 at OHSU in Portland.
He will have the tumor and parts of his inner ear removed in a procedure called a labyrinthine craniotomy. The surgery will destroy his hearing in that ear. Mister will be in the hospital for 3-10 days along with potentially months of recovery.
This is where we can step in to help Mister and his beloved Clarissa.
Your support can help them navigate financial obligations in the lead-up to surgery and well into the recovery period. While insurance is available, there are a multitude of costs not covered between hotels, lost wages, etc.
