I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mike Hodge, who was recently involved in a serious accident that left him unable to walk. After months of hospitalization, therapy, and adjustment to this new reality, one thing has become clear: he urgently needs an electric wheelchair to regain some independence and mobility.
Right now, Mike is relying entirely on others for even the most basic tasks—getting from one room to another, leaving the house, or enjoying fresh air. An electric wheelchair would be life-changing for him. It would give him back a sense of freedom and control that the accident suddenly took away.
Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover the full cost of the equipment he needs, and the out-of-pocket expenses are simply too high. We’re hoping to raise $8,000 to cover the cost of a reliable electric wheelchair, accessories that ensure his comfort and safety, and any setup or transport fees.
If you’re able to give, please know that any amount—no matter how small—makes a difference. And if you can’t give right now, we’d be so grateful if you shared this with your friends and community.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
