Melanie has always been the glue that holds our family together. She’s the one who keeps us going, even as she faces her own health battles. Recently, Melanie was diagnosed with liver cancer, which started in her colon. The treatments are tough and require us to travel 150 miles each way to Atlanta every two weeks. Because of this, we have to stay in hotels, and the costs add up quickly.
Melanie can’t work like she used to, and I’m also unable to work much because of my diabetes and leg problems. We’ve used most of our savings just to keep up with medical bills, travel, and daily expenses. On top of everything, we now have a large bill to get our kitchen cleaned up, which we simply can’t afford right now.
Through it all, Melanie remains strong and caring. She still looks after me, even when she’s not feeling well herself. Our family is doing everything we can, but we need help to get through this. Any support will go directly toward Melanie’s treatments, travel costs, and making our home safe again. Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation to help us during this difficult time.
