My sweet one year old nephew, Maverick Rasmussen, was recently diagnosed with lymphoma cancer on June 6th. For nearly six months, Maverick had been sick, and after countless doctor visits and tests, his parents finally received the heartbreaking diagnosis.
Maverick is the youngest of four boys. Hayes (10), Paxton (8), and Owen (4). His parents, Marissa Embrey and Wayde Rasmussen, are now facing every parent’s worst nightmare. Maverick will begin chemotherapy treatments every three weeks for the next six months.
Marissa will be stepping away from work to care for Maverick full-time, and Wayde may also need to miss work as they navigate hospital stays, treatment appointments, and caring for their other children. The emotional and financial toll on their family is significant.
As Maverick’s aunt, I’m asking for support on their behalf. Donations will help cover medical expenses, travel costs, childcare, meals, and the many other unforeseen challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.
If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page and keeping Maverick and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
We are hopeful and standing strong with Maverick every step of the way.
Thank you so much for your love and support. We greatly appreciate it!
