Help Kay Fight Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer
Hi, this is Amy and Andrew, and we’re reaching out on behalf of our incredible mom, Kayle (“Kay”) Dunham, who was recently diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer.
Just a few weeks ago, she began experiencing abdominal pain. After a whirlwind of tests, scans, and appointments, we were devastated to learn she has a large tumor wrapped around her pancreas and lesions on her liver — meaning the cancer has already spread. The tumor is wrapped around key blood vessels, which makes surgery unlikely. Her medical team has determined that chemotherapy is the best course of treatment, and her first session begins this Thursday.
Our mom is 73 years old and the heart of our family. She is full of grace, humility, kindness, and strength. She’s always been there for us, no matter what, and now it’s our turn to support her. She is also a beloved grandmother (“Nana”) to six grandchildren who absolutely adore her — their love and joy are a bright light in her life every time she sees them or talks to them.
To be by her side for every appointment, every treatment, and every moment she needs him, our dad, Terry, has stepped away from work. They have been married for over 50 years — they are each other’s best friend, constant support, and the definition of true love. Watching him care for her during this time is both beautiful and heartbreaking. Their devotion to one another is unwavering, and we want to help ease their financial burden so they can focus completely on her healing.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Out-of-pocket medical expenses
• Travel to and from treatments
• Daily medical supplies and nutritional needs
• Home care and comfort measures to support her through chemotherapy
Any amount you give will go directly toward helping our mom fight this cancer with everything she has. If you can’t give right now, please consider sharing this page or lifting her up in prayer. Every gesture means the world to us.
Monthly donations are also available if you would like to offer continued support on a recurring basis. Every bit of steady help gives my parents one less thing to worry about.
With all our gratitude,
Amy and Andrew
