To our family and friends, I am sending this heartfelt message regarding an update for my sister Kathy Noeline and myself here in Prescott, Arizona, including our ongoing battles with our health, business, and life’s challenges.
We recently received the life-changing diagnosis of cancer with my sister. It has been the rock that has broken our backs and has made us desperate to ask for help from our family and friends.
We have had many tough times in the last 12+ years. I was diagnosed with diabetes, I am still dealing with health issues from an accident 10 years ago when I broke my back, had a hip and knee replacement, I have chronic back problems, had two major eye surgeries, and a series of falls recently resulting in $9k+ of broken teeth that need to be fixed.
We lost our travel agent business during COVID. We worked for two years with zero income, taking care of clients and massive cancellations of travel. We ended up moving into our offices to try to save and make our payments for our business. We continue to live there.
The third year working to recover from the COVID disaster, my sister had an unbelievably bad fall and ended up in the hospital with a broken sternum and other lower back injuries. During her hospital stay, she came down with major infections, including MRSA twice, and spent 175+ days in the hospital over the next 16 months until early 2025. It was a very rough time.
Problems continued in mid-March 2025 when the doctors wanted to check my sister for cancer. After weeks of tests, she was diagnosed with “Multi-Myeloma Cancer” and three weeks later, she started a 70-week complex cancer treatment program.
With just the two of us here, it has been a challenge to keep everything going. I am now my sister’s only caregiver and her 24-hour constant provider for everything!
The first few weeks were difficult. With the massive co-pays, extra supplies, and increased driving, we have become more desperate financially than ever. The time to ask our family and friends for help is here.
If you are able and would like to help, it would be appreciated. We have lost everything we had; our credit cards are full! We would never do this if we were not desperate. Both of us hate asking for help, but we truly need to.
