PSA: Having a bruise on your breast after radiation treatment MUST BE EXAMINED THOROUGHLY AND TAKEN SERIOUSLY!
Eleven years ago, Julie had 30 radiation treatments for breast cancer. She was recently diagnosed with secondary radiation-induced angiosarcoma (an aggressive cancer of the blood vessels and soft tissue). Less than half of a percent of the population has this type of cancer. Julie will have to undergo extensive surgery with the hopes of getting clear margins. She’s a retired teacher, widow of a U.S. Marine Veteran, mom of two, and a grandma of two who is on a fixed income. This is her fifth time battling cancer. Help reduce her worry and stress by donating and giving her support.
