Support Juan’s Recovery and Ruthe’s Dreams

A Sister’s Plea: Help My Brother Juan and His Daughter Ruthe Ximena in Atlanta.

Hello, I’m Karla, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help for my brother, Juan Francisco, and his precious 6-year-old daughter, Ruthe Ximena Riofrio. Living in the Atlanta area, Juan has been a devoted widower and an incredible father to Ruthe Ximena since losing his beloved wife during childbirth. He’s worked tirelessly as an independent contractor to give his daughter a bright future, but a recent accident has turned their lives upside down, leaving Juan unable to work and struggling to keep a roof over their heads. As his sister, I’m asking for your support to help them through this challenging time.Ruthe Ximena is the light of Juan’s life and brings joy to everyone around her. At just 6 years old, she’s an A+ student in her Atlanta first-grade classroom, impressing her teachers with her brilliant mind and warm smile. On the softball field, she’s a little superstar, swinging her bat with determination and running the bases with a contagious grin. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day, inspired by the medical care she’s seen her dad receive. Juan has always been her biggest cheerleader, never missing a game or a school event, his pride in her shining through. But now, their world has been shaken, and Ruthe Ximena needs her dad to be okay.A few weeks ago, while Juan was working hard to provide for Ruthe Ximena, he suffered a terrible accident. He fell from a ladder, shattering his ankle and collapsing in agonizing pain. Doctors in Atlanta say he urgently needs surgery to place a plate and screws to repair the break. Without it, he could be unable to walk or work for months, maybe longer. For a father who has carried his family through the heartbreaking loss of his wife and built a loving home for his daughter, this injury is devastating—not just physically, but to the stability he’s worked so hard to provide in their Atlanta home.Juan has basic health insurance, but it’s not enough to cover the high deductible and additional medical expenses piling up for his surgery, physical therapy, and rehabilitation. As an independent contractor, he has no paid sick leave, and with no income, he’s struggling to cover essentials like food, rent, and utilities for their Atlanta apartment. The threat of eviction looms large, and as his sister, it breaks my heart to see Juan worry about what this could mean for Ruthe Ximena. “She’s my whole world,” Juan told me, his voice trembling. “Since her mom passed giving birth to her, I’ve done everything to give her a good life. I hate that I can’t provide for her right now, and I need help to keep her safe.”That’s why I’m turning to you. Your generous donations can be a lifeline for Juan and Ruthe Ximena during this incredibly tough time. Every dollar will go directly toward:Medical Expenses: Covering Juan’s insurance deductible, surgery costs, physical therapy, and other medical expenses to help him get back on his feet.

Living Expenses: Paying for rent, food, and utilities to keep a safe, stable home for Ruthe Ximena in Atlanta.
