This happy, smiling man you see here in the picture is my friend Jim. You may have met Jim at some point in your life if your car has ever broken down on you in the Ventura County area. Jim has been a local tow truck driver for AAA for the past 20 years! He is a valued employee and coworker of mine and also happens to be my roommate. I’ve never encountered another human being with as much empathy, patience, and loyalty in my life. Jim recently has been diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma. He will be starting treatment in a few weeks. I have started this fundraiser in hopes that I can help raise enough money to help him with his hospital bills and his rent payments while he goes through treatment. Once he starts chemo treatments, he may not be cleared to work, or he may need to go on disability. Anything you can donate to help keep my friend receiving treatments and a roof over his head would be most appreciated. Being a cancer survivor myself, this news was hard to take.
Please help Jim fight this disease so he can have many more years here.
