Hi, my name is Jerry Charnay, and I’m reaching out to ask for help during a really difficult time in my life.
Over the past year, I’ve been slowly losing my vision due to cataracts in both eyes. What started as blurry vision has now progressed to the point where I can barely see. It’s made everyday tasks — like reading, driving, recognizing faces, or even getting around safely — incredibly difficult.
I currently work part-time, doing what I can, but my eyesight has limited the kind of work I can do and the hours I can manage. I want to keep working and living independently, but without surgery, that’s becoming harder each day.
Cataract surgery could restore my vision and give me my life back — but unfortunately, even with partial insurance coverage, I can’t afford the full cost on my own. That’s why I’m starting this fundraiser: to raise money to help cover the surgery and any related medical expenses.
Your support — no matter how big or small — would mean the world to me.
Every donation helps me get one step closer to seeing clearly again and getting back to the life I miss.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing my story with others who might be able to help. I’m deeply grateful for your time, your kindness, and your support.
With heartfelt thanks,
Jerry Charnay
