My name is Jeremy, and I have been diagnosed with Stage 2 Liposarcoma. This is a very rare and aggressive form of cancer, with no cure. I went to the ER in February, where my CT scan showed multiple masses in my abdomen and colon, concerning for Liposarcoma. I was transferred to Charleston, WV, where I spent two weeks for the Tumor Board to decide what treatment was best, as they knew nothing about this type of cancer. I had surgery, where multiple masses were removed, and they were confident that they got all of the tumors. I was referred to an Oncologist, who ordered a PET Scan. I got the results a couple of weeks ago, which showed that I have cancer in my abdomen and liver. I will be starting chemotherapy, and due to the aggressiveness of this type of cancer, the Oncologist will admit me to the hospital for 3 days after each treatment to monitor me. I will not be able to work during my treatments and hospital admissions. I have had to quit my CNA job and will have no other source of income. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
