Help Save Jax – Our Sweet 9-Week-Old Puppy Battling Parvo
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for help saving our beloved puppy, Jax.
Jax came into our lives on June 9th—a playful, bright-eyed 9-week-old bundle of joy with a tail that never stopped wagging. In just a few short days, he stole our hearts with his silly zoomies, cuddly naps, and his curious little nose that had to sniff everything.
But just five days after we brought him home, Jax began to vomit, refused to eat or drink, and became alarmingly lethargic. We rushed him to the ER vet in Buffalo on June 13th, where he was diagnosed with Parvovirus—a life-threatening illness that hits young puppies the hardest, especially those who haven’t yet completed their vaccination series.
Jax was admitted immediately and is currently receiving IV fluids, antibiotics, and anti-nausea medication to fight this awful virus. Yesterday, his care team administered monoclonal antibodies, a promising treatment for Parvo. Sadly, shortly after, Jax went into anaphylactic shock—a terrifying complication. Thankfully, it was caught immediately, and he responded well to an emergency EpiPen.
Jax’s condition is still critical. He could remain hospitalized for 2 nights up to a full week, and the projected cost of his lifesaving care is between $5,000 and $10,000. We were not prepared for such a sudden and massive financial burden, but we’re doing everything we can to fight for him.
Jax is more than just a puppy—he’s already become a part of our family. His bright spirit, goofy hops, and endless snuggles have filled our home with love. It’s heartbreaking to see him like this—too weak to lift his head or wag his tail.
