Help Us Heal – A Mother and Newborn’s Journey After a Difficult Birth
Hello,
My name is jasmine and I never imagined I’d be writing something like this.
On 6-7-2025 I gave birth to my beautiful baby macheonquet peters jr and while I should’ve been celebrating the happiest day of my life, things took a very unexpected and terrifying turn. What was supposed to be a normal delivery quickly became a fight for both of our lives.
I experienced severe complications during labor that led to an emergency C-section. I lost a lot of blood and was rushed into intensive care. I was unconscious for a time and unable to even hold my baby for the first few days of their life. The trauma was overwhelming — physically, emotionally, and now financially.
While I am slowly recovering, the journey ahead is still long. The medical bills have piled up far beyond what I can manage. I am now facing tens of thousands of dollars in hospital charges – from the emergency surgery, ICU stay, anesthesia, blood transfusions, to the neonatal care my baby needed. I am currently unable to work as I recover and take care of my newborn, and the cost of basic baby supplies, formula, diapers, and follow-up appointments has become another mountain to climb.
It’s humbling to ask for help, but I am doing so for my child, who deserves the best start in life. Every dollar you can give — no matter how small — will go directly toward paying medical bills and ensuring I can provide for my baby during this incredibly fragile time.
