Thank you for taking the time to read this. The love of my life has recently been given some very heart-wrenching news. Jamie was recently laid off from work and two weeks into her downtime she got sick. After not being able to shake her sickness, she agreed to go to the doctors where she was admitted. In what seems like a blur now, they started doing tests, giving her blood transfusions, and doing biopsies, and running more tests. Well, it was discovered that she had B-cell lymphoma, which is cancer. Now that she was laid off, she has no insurance. She has fallen behind on several bills and is now awaiting medical or Medicaid.
Jamie is one of the strongest women I know, and over the last 35 years, I’ve watched this woman do whatever she has had to do for her children. She has never been without a job and has never made excuses if things didn’t work out. She just gets up, goes to work, and keeps fighting the fight. Well, over just a very short span, this woman I love and admire has changed right before my eyes. This once proud and sometimes stubborn woman has now become scared, anxious, and so unsure of what’s going on. She has her youngest son still living with her, Damon, and he recently lost his father to heart failure, and now Jamie is going through all of this. She will soon start chemotherapy and is so worried about everything else. I’m afraid it will distract her from what should be her main concern… herself.
I am hoping to raise funds to help her take care of bills and food so she can focus on beating cancer’s ass. If you can find it in yourself, please help to make this fight a little less stressful for her.
