Con gran pesar, les comunicamos que nuestro querido Heberto Figueredo ha sido recientemente diagnosticado con cáncer de colon. Esta noticia nos ha impactado a todos, pero mantenemos la esperanza y el compromiso de apoyarlo en cada paso del camino. Heberto siempre ha sido una persona generosa, cariñosa y profundamente dedicada a su familia y amigos. Ya sea con palabras de aliento, estando presente cuando más lo necesitábamos o simplemente haciéndonos reír cuando lo necesitábamos, ha sido una presencia constante y cariñosa en nuestras vidas. Ahora, enfrenta una de las batallas más difíciles de su vida. Este tumor de colon le causa sangrado y lo ha debilitado significativamente debido a la anemia. Ahora debe someterse a una cirugía para extirpar el tumor, que es el primer paso de todo lo que viene después. Posteriormente, se le realizarán estudios especializados después de la biopsia para que, debido a su edad, se pueda determinar la mejor opción de tratamiento con el menor daño posible. Este estudio se realiza fuera del país. Después de esto, deberá completar la quimioterapia y todos los gastos relacionados con ella y sus controles. Heberto es jubilado público en nuestro país, lo que hoy en día significa que sus ingresos no cubren los gastos mínimos requeridos.
Todas las donaciones se destinarán directamente a los gastos médicos relacionados con su tratamiento, incluyendo cirugía, sesiones de quimioterapia, hospitalización, medicamentos y cuidados paliativos.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share that our beloved, Heberto Figueredo has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. This news has come as a shock to all of us, but we remain hopeful and committed to supporting him every step of the way.
Heberto has always been generous, loving, and deeply devoted to his family and friends. Whether it was offering words of encouragement, showing up when it mattered most, or simply making us laugh when we needed it, he’s been a steady and caring presence in our lives.
Now, he faces one of the toughest battles of his life. This Colonic tumor causes bleeding and made him significantly weak due to anemia. Now he must undergo surgery to remove the tumor, which is the first step in everything that comes next. Subsequently, specialized studies must be done after the biopsy so that, due to his age, the best treatment option with the least damage can be decided. This study is performed outside the country. After this, he must complete chemotherapy, and all the expenses related to it and its controls.
He is a public pensioner in our country, and that today this means an income that does not cover the minimum required expenses. All donations will go directly toward medical expenses related to his treatment — including surgery, chemotherapy sessions, hospital stays, medications, and supportive care. Your generosity will help ease the stress so he can concentrate fully on his recovery.
