My name is Tia, and I am reaching out for support as my newborn son, Tionn, fights for his life in the NICU. Tionn was born at just 27 weeks on June 3, 2025, and every day since has been a rollercoaster of emotions and uncertainty. His early arrival has brought many unexpected challenges, and I am doing everything I can to be by his side and care for him during this critical time.
On June 16, 2025, Tionn experienced a serious setback due to medical neglect. A leak in his air line caused his oxygen levels to rise, and this issue was ignored for hours until a new shift discovered it. Because of this, Tionn now needs to be watched even more closely and will require open heart surgery to close a hole in his heart, which we hope will help his respiratory issues.
Right now, I am staying in a shelter and traveling five miles each day to visit Tionn in the hospital. The costs of transportation, temporary housing, and Tionn’s ongoing medical needs are overwhelming. With no clear timeline for when he will be able to come home, I am asking for help to cover these essential expenses so I can focus on supporting my son’s recovery and well-being.
Any support—whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, prayers, or connecting us with resources—means the world to us. Your kindness will help us get through this incredibly tough time and give Tionn the best possible chance to grow stronger. Thank you for standing with us.
