My name is Fong, and just a few weeks ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Before my diagnosis, I had no pain—just some swelling and lumps that appeared suddenly. The news came as a shock, and since then, my life has changed in ways I never expected. I’ve started radiation treatments, which have helped reduce some of the swelling in my right breast, but the cancer has spread to other areas, including my lungs. Because of this, my doctors haven’t been able to approve chemotherapy or surgery yet, and there’s a chance that surgery might not remove all of the cancer.
I’m retired and living in my own home, doing my best to stay independent. My daughter has offered to help care for me, and I’m grateful for the support of my neighbor, who sometimes helps me get out of the house on my good days. But there are also tough days when I feel completely drained and struggle to function or even sleep. The healing from radiation is slow, and the uncertainty about future treatments is difficult to face.
I’m raising funds to help cover my medical bills, ongoing treatment costs, and daily living expenses. Every bit of support will help me focus on healing and maintaining my quality of life during this challenging time. Thank you for reading my story and for any help you can offer.
