Support Emily and Ellis: A Journey of Healing

Supporting Emily and Ellis: A Journey of Healing and Hope

Emily is a bright light in so many lives—a cheerleader not just in spirit, but in action. She is known for showing up, stepping in, and lifting others without hesitation—offering her time, her resources, and her endless compassion to anyone in need, whether they’re family, friends, or complete strangers. And if Emily can’t help directly, she always knows someone who can.

At the heart of her world is her daughter, Ellis (age 8)—a radiant, joyful, and kind soul who embodies Emily’s strength, humor, and generous heart. Their bond is unshakable and beautifully intertwined.

Recently, Emily experienced a seizure while on an outing one afternoon with Ellis. (She has had additional seizures during this waiting period till surgery)

This unexpected event became a turning point. It not only brought long-awaited clarity to lingering health questions but also brought forward the reality of life’s fragility and the weight of decisions every parent quietly carries. The diagnosis: a brain tumor that now requires surgery and a period of recovery and healing.

Emily will be stepping away from work to undergo surgery, rest, and process any further treatment. This time is deeply needed for physical healing and emotional grounding—especially in caring for and supporting Ellis through this shift.

As Emily has shown up for so many, we now have the opportunity to show up for her. We want to create a soft place to land during this chapter. By helping cover daily needs, unexpected expenses, and creating space for recovery, we can give Emily and Ellis the gift of peace, presence, and support.

Whether you’re able to contribute financially, offer gift cards, provide prayer, or simply share this message, every act of kindness counts. Let’s help lighten the load and surround this incredible family with the same love Emily has always given to others.

With gratitude and hope,

Friends of Emily and Ellis
