My name is Cynthia Flores, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my beautiful daughter, Elena. Elena is 5 years old. She has Level 3 autism and is nonverbal. Every day is a challenge for her, and as a mother, there’s nothing more painful than watching your child struggle and not being able to make it better.
Earlier this year, we reached a breaking point. Elena was barely sleeping—maybe a couple of hours a night. She was constantly overwhelmed, distressed, and began to self-harm. We were desperate to help her. After extensive research and prayer, we decided to try stem cell therapy, a treatment that has shown promise for individuals on the autism spectrum. We traveled to Monterrey, Mexico in January to begin her first round of treatment.
The changes we saw after the therapy were nothing short of a miracle. For the first time in years, Elena began sleeping 8 to 10 hours a night. Her meltdowns decreased dramatically, and the heartbreaking moments of self-harm became rare. For the first time in a long time, we felt hope.
This treatment gave Elena relief, peace, and a better quality of life. It gave us the chance to see more of her beautiful spirit shine through. However, stem cell therapy is costly, and to maintain its effectiveness, it is recommended every 6 months. Unfortunately, we simply cannot afford to continue without help.
So here I am, humbly asking for your support. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply a prayer—we are grateful for anything you can offer. Every little bit brings us closer to giving Elena the continued care she deserves.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you for caring about our girl.
With love and gratitude,
Cynthia Flores
