Hi, I wanted to introduce myself! My name is Denise Kadir and I have just been diagnosed with stomach cancer. There’s a longer name, but people will know what I’m talking about. Right now, they’re running a series of tests to see if it’s gone anywhere else and to see what they are going to do. As of right now, because I’ve been seeing doctors for the last six months and nobody knew what was going on, I’ve racked up a series of bills that I can’t pay. I am on disability right now. I was just told that even though I have insurance, I have to pay a considerable amount of money for every scan, every test, every doctor, etc., etc. and it’s getting worse and worse. I just can’t pay it, and the financial stress of thinking about it is making me feel just beside myself. I am not one of these people to ask for money or to ask for help, but somebody told me recently that when you need the help, that’s when you need to ask. I know most people set aside some funds to help others, and I appreciate that. I’ve always tried to do that myself, and I’ve never had a problem helping somebody else, but when it comes to myself, it’s been very tough. I wanted to ask those who have the ability and can to please give. Believe me, I will pay it forward when I’m able to. Nothing is too small. I mean, it would help a lot to help me feel financially at peace. I know God is there for me, and He said not to worry about these things, but I can’t help but focus on the amount of money that I have to pay for all these.
