Hello everyone. My name is Rebecca, and I am reaching out on behalf of my oldest and dearest friend, Cynthia. We’ve been inseparable since we met as 17-year-old exchange students in Peru. Now, at 64, we’ve shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love, but now we are facing one of the hardest chapters yet.
Cynthia has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her bones, along with stage 2 lung cancer (independent from the breast cancer). She recently underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her lung, but her journey is far from over. Her strength and resilience are inspiring, but the toll of treatment, recovery, and uncertainty is immense. Now, she needs our help.
Cynthia is no longer able to teach regularly, and the financial strain of medical bills, mortgage payments, and basic living expenses have become overwhelming.
From the bottom of my heart, I am asking for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping Cynthia manage her treatment and stay in her home. Your kindness can ease some of the financial burden and allow her to focus on healing and spending time with her loved ones.
Cynthia is a devoted mother of three, a cherished friend to so many, and one of the most genuine, compassionate, and hardworking people I have ever known. She has spent her life giving to others as a mother, a professor and a beacon of kindness in her community.
Please give what you can, share this campaign, and follow Cynthia’s story as she continues this fight with courage and grace. If there was ever a cause worthy of support, this is it.
Thank you for your generosity and love.
~Rebecca
P.S. Hi everyone, my name is Amina, and Rebecca is my mom. I will continue to post updates via her and Cynthia on here. We genuinely appreciate any support you can give. Thank you!
