Hi everyone,
My name is Whitney, and I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my close friend, Corri Maynard, a dedicated father, a loyal friend, and a small-town hard worker whose life was recently turned upside down.
Corri was diagnosed with a brain tumor after hitting his head while working — doing physically demanding dock work and lawn care for a local small business. This diagnosis came as a devastating shock, not only to Corri but to his whole family, including his young daughter, Alyla, who is the center of his world.
What started as a medical scare in Saginaw has now become a much bigger fight. Corri is currently under the care of specialists at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing as he seeks second opinions and begins the difficult path of treatment and recovery. That means frequent, costly travel from his home in Alpena to Lansing, along with expenses for hotels, food, gas, and unforeseen medical needs.
Because of his condition, Corri is unable to work — and with no income coming in, the financial strain is hitting hard.
This fundraiser is to help cover:
• Medical appointments and upcoming testing
• Travel, lodging, and meals during hospital visits
• Daily living expenses while Corri is out of work
• Support and care for Alyla during this incredibly uncertain time
Corri is the kind of guy who never asks for help. But right now, he truly needs a village behind him. He’s trying to be strong for his daughter — to fight this tumor head-on and still be the father she needs. But no one should have to fight this battle alone.
