As many know, our little miracle baby, CJ, was born 3 weeks ago. I had an extremely rough labor and delivery and he came out not breathing or moving at all but had a heartbeat. The amazing NICU team immediately started getting him stable enough to have tests ran. They ended up needing to air lift him to the NICU at a different hospital for further treatment. They were worried at some point during labor/delivery he lost oxygen to the brain suspecting possible brain damage. They started him on an amazing cooling treatment for HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy) that assisted in improving his progression in things he was lacking and prevent any further damage that could be caused to the brain. He progressed so much from the time he was born to even just that night he arrived at the other hospital. After the 72 hour cooling treatment, multiples tests, labs, ultrasounds, echos, and neurological monitoring, everything was heading in the right direction. He finally got an MRI which showed NO brain damage at all He is a literal miracle baby and we are extremely blessed. We will be following up with a neurologist and other specialists to make sure everything continues to move in the right direction.
On top of that, while he was in the NICU, I had extremely high blood pressure and was admitted into the same hospital with post partum preeclampsia. As if that wasn’t enough, I just found out that I will be needing episiotomy revision surgery the end of July. This has caused for so many unplanned medical bills for CJ and I, copays for weekly follow up appointments, and surgery costs. Chazz will be taking a week off unpaid for my surgery recovery and now I will be out of work for longer than originally planned so this will also help tremendously with bills. Please don’t feel obligated to donate but anything helps, especially a share and prayers! Thank you so much
