On June 6th, our sweet and brave 7-year-old nephew, Case Rodgers, began chemotherapy after being diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. While this diagnosis has completely shifted life for Case and his family, he’s approached it with incredible strength, courage, and heart.
Case is a soft-hearted, gentle soul with a smile that lights up the room. Despite the countless doctor’s appointments, hospital visits, and needle pokes, he’s kept that smile on his face and shown a level of strength well beyond his years.
He recently completed his first baseball season and loved every minute of it. He enjoys playing video games with his dad, laughing and roughhousing with his little brother Crew, and spending time with his cousins, especially when all the play turns into an all-out wrestling match. He’s joyful, curious, and full of life.
Case is the oldest son of Chance and Catherine Rodgers, who are walking through this battle hand in hand with him, doing everything they can to keep his spirits high and ensure he receives the best care possible. As they pour their hearts into caring for Case, they’re also carrying the growing weight of medical bills, time away from work, travel costs, and the many unexpected expenses that come with a cancer diagnosis.
