We’re reaching out on behalf of Alexander “Alex” Pemasa, a beloved father, partner, and friend who is courageously battling end-stage heart failure. His only options for survival are a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) or a full heart transplant—both life-saving but incredibly expensive and complex procedures.
At this time, Alex is currently on IV medication that’s keeping him alive while his team of Specialists determines the best path forward. As the sole provider for his family, Alex is unable to work and won’t qualify for disability/assistance for another 6–12 months. This leaves his partner, Gabrielle, to carry the full financial weight while also caring for their four young children.
Anyone who knows Alex knows how selfless, kind, and dependable he is. He’s the first to show up when someone needs help—and now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
