Our family is facing an unexpected and emotional journey. My wife, Adilene, was diagnosed in April 2025 with breast cancer and will begin treatment over the next 4 to 5 months, followed by surgery and other treatment if necessary. Thankfully, her cancer is highly treatable and we’re holding on to hope, strength and the support of those around us.
Adilene is one of the smartest and most hardworking people I know. Despite this diagnosis, she plans to continue pursuing her civil engineering degree at UNLV, which she’s so close to finishing, and will keep working at her structural engineering internship with accommodations in place as needed.
We’re blessed to have strong health insurance benefits, but the road ahead will still require emotional, physical, and financial sacrifices. Between treatments, time off, and other day-to-day needs, any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to us.
Our beautiful family, including our husky Levi, corgi Zuko, and our incredible network of family and friends, are all rallying behind Adilene. With love, support, and faith, we believe she will rise and overcome this- because that’s who she is.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness and generosity!
