“I’m not scared for myself… I’m scared for my son. He’s only two. He still needs his mama.” – Samneang

Some stories break your heart — not because of how painful they are, but because of how deeply they show a mother’s love.
This is Samneang’s story.
In May of this year, Samneang — a devoted mother and our loyal friend — was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive and difficult types to treat. In a single moment, her life was turned upside down.
She immediately began intensive chemotherapy, and though she’s fighting with everything she has, the side effects are taking a heavy toll. She is exhausted, in pain, and emotionally overwhelmed. Doctors are preparing her for major surgery later this year, a critical next step in her battle — but also one more hurdle she doesn’t know how she’ll afford it.
As her body weakens, the weight on her shoulders grows.
She’s unable to work, but she has to care for her 2-year-old son and her small family. She’s behind on bills, drowning in medical costs, and on the verge of losing all her hope.
Still, when you ask her what she’s most afraid of, she doesn’t say cancer.
She says this:
“I just don’t want my son to lose me. I want to be there when he starts school, when he learns to ride a bike. I want him to remember my love, not my sickness.”
Samneang has always put others first — with a warm heart, open arms, and quiet strength. Now she’s the one who needs someone to fight for her.
We’re asking for your help — not just to ease her burden, but to give her hope.
Your donation will help cover:
Ongoing chemotherapy and medications
Her upcoming surgery in October
Daily living costs for her and her small family.
Even the smallest donation can make a difference. And if you can’t give, please share her story with others. Together, we can help Samneang hold on to the most important things in her life — her child, her family, and the chance for a future.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
