Hi. My name is Barb and I live in Pinellas Park FL. I’ll be 59 tomorrow. These last 13 years have been difficult. I’m on disability for a lot of things starting when I discovered a hole in my right retina. This led to me being diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis, Shogren’s Syndrome, Reynaud’s Syndrome and Fibromyalgia…all autoimmune disorders. Then in 2013 I had a heart attack trying to keep my mother’s office going. We did taxes and accounting and she passed unexpectedly in October of 2012. No, I couldn’t make it work as she WAS the company and it was a 3 woman business. Tried to keep working but was unfeasible due to my conditions. Almost died from blood clots through my body and was diagnosed with PAD/DVT. Am a sufferer of migraines and Vertigo just going from sitting to standing. Now they’ve determined (or guessing) that my blood pressure is dropping dramatically making it difficult to get most tasks done. I’ve had to have my gallbladder and spleen removed so I have NO immune system left. I’m prone to infections and have been on countless IV antibiotics over the last 3 years. If that wasn’t enough I’m dealing with Stage 4 cancer…second time. My father recently had to be moved to an Assisted Living facility and is going downhill fast. We used to share a home together but had to be sold to cover his expenses and therefore I had to find a new place to live. I found an apartment just big enough for me and my cat Gidget, but am living month to month and usually run out of food before the month is out. I’m just asking for a little help since I’ve never been married and have no kids or family able to help out. Have thousands of dollars in medical bills that I just can’t pay and my coverage is not that great. My last hospital visit billed in at over $124,000 dollars.
I would appreciate any help to get me through these trying times.
Thanx for reading my story and God bless everyone.
