Hello, everyone. I have never created a fundraiser before and I am not really sure how to ask for help like this. In truth, it is not my style. But, if there is anything that can force me out of my comfort zone it is when tragedy strikes a family member or a friend. This is precisely why I am here and reaching out to whomever this may find. . .
Early Thursday morning of May 21, 2025 my mother suffered a cardiac arrest and unfortunately suffered substantial brain trauma as a result. Her two sons (myself and my older brother), her eldest sister, all of her precious grand-babies, a few other family members, friends and neighbors came to her side to pray and keep her comfortable to the best of our abilities. Unfortunately, she ultimately succumbed to the ailments and lost her life May 25, 2025 surrounded by those whom loved her dearly.
Every step of my life she has always been there; loving and supporting me. She comes from humble beginnings, but never complained about where the starting line was because she never ran the race. She was too busy cheering everyone to run forward with happy feet and encouragement if you were to stumble. Knowing her was to love her! Ask anyone who has ever known her (except those truly miserable few). Even listing out her shining traits in this unfortunate time makes me feel so lucky to have had her as my mother! She will be remembered as one of the greats that define a mother’s love.
She believed in loving your enemies with compassion and showering precious family and friends with all of her love. It is because of that, that they traveled great distances on a memorial holiday weekend. It has surely created an impact on everyone’s savings. From travel, hotel, and food expenses; not to mention, loss of work. . . There is certainly a strain on every pocket book. Not to mention the suddenness of the event leaves her own presiding expenses unaccounted for.
Therefor, I’m creating this fundraiser to help alleviate some of that burden. Any charity would be immensely welcomed. I wish all of you joy and prosperity, and from the depths of my soul. . . Thank you! Praise God and live abundantly!
