Most of you know me. I lost my job at the beginning of April, and then my brother got really sick. We managed through those trials, but this one is breaking my heart. My granddaughter, Madison Hines, started getting sick last Monday with diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and lots of stomach pain. We took her to Carilion NRV, and they immediately transferred her to Roanoke Memorial, where she stayed till Friday. Her blood work showed that she had gotten a form of E. coli that unfortunately attacks her kidneys.
Right now, we took her back to Carilion NRV last night, where they have determined she is getting worse. They need to transport her to either UVA or Roanoke Memorial for dialysis. She is so scared right now, and to be honest, so are we.
I try my best to never ask for help. I try to be the first to help others, but unfortunately, my finances are to the point I need help to be able to continue to stay with Maddie during this. There is no way we would let this child be alone. Keep all the prayers coming because prayer will work. She is afraid she will die. I’m so upset for her. Her mom is with her, and we want to continue to be able to be there, but unfortunately, I still have not found a job.
Anything you can do would be a blessing and would be used so that we can continue to stay with her.
