Motocross Therapy for EMT Alan’s Well-being

Hello. My name is Alan C. I was born in Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1979. I come from a wonderful family and I have a great group of friends. I’m a very lucky man.

I recently (5 years ago) decided to make a career change and become a nationally registered, state-licensed Emergency Medical Technician. I worked as an EMS first responder in North Fulton County, Georgia (Atlanta). I did so because I wanted to make a difference and try to save people’s lives after living my teenage years as an idiot. I turned my life around and made something out of myself.

I didn’t realize how little an EMT makes, especially as a first responder, answering 911 calls for initially $13.50/hr. (I don’t think I’ve told anyone this before). I can barely pay my bills with overtime and holiday pay. You think you know what you’re going to see out there, but you can’t imagine what I’ve seen in the past several years. I don’t have any specific diagnosis of PTSD. I’m not suffering from any trauma, but I’ve been told that I am.

I’m trying to get in touch with my roots as a motocross rider. Two of my childhood friends have started back riding motorized vehicles and I would give anything for this kind of recommended therapy. I’m able-bodied, and I have a job. I’m not a typical charity case by any stretch. I was hoping to appeal to those who proudly vocalize their support for first responders, or anyone who believes in paying it forward. I have saved lives and resuscitated apneic, asystolic patients (no pulse, no respiration) and brought them back. I would do the same for any of you. I’m not embellishing anything here. I’m not being deceitful in any way, shape, or form.

Please help me find a little bit of peace and happiness in exchange for serving my community in the most direct and meaningful way I can. #payitforward #FirstResponder #EMS

Please, if you find the giving spirit placed upon your heart, believe me when I say I understand. I’m a pretty generous person myself. I’m not telling any lies. I’m just hoping that I can find some peace from the stress of this job (I’m well aware that I chose this position).

Please try and understand where I’m coming from. I’m being as honest as I can. I’m paying down my karmic debt as an Emergency Medical Technician. You could do the same by supporting my little endeavor here. Nothing but love and respect to anyone who took the time to read this.
