Medical Expenses for Kristie

I’ve been receiving disability since 2011, and I’ve had some severe medical problems going on. I’ve got heart failure and diabetic Crohn’s and Colitis. In January of this year, on the 29th, I broke my femur. While I was in the hospital, I received a letter package from Social Security wanting me to fill out information for my reevaluation to make sure I was still disabled. Well, I was all messed up on pain medication, so I did the best that I could when I filled this out. I sent it in because it had a deadline, which was the 24th of February. I sent it in, and in March, I received a letter that said that I was no longer disabled. The reasoning for their decision was that I missed a signature box on the reevaluation letter that they sent me. I have filed an appeal, but in the meantime, they cut out my Social Security that I get every month and my insurance.

I’m unable to go to the doctors that I need to go to, and I’m unable to get my medicines because they’re so expensive. I’m at a loss of what to do, so I’m reaching out, trying to make sure that I can keep my medicines. Because of my heart failure, my heart is only beating at 18%. There are medications that I really need, and some of them I’m unable to get because they’re so expensive. Even with GoodRx, they’re expensive. If you could help me in any way, I would greatly appreciate it. I hate asking, but I don’t have a choice.
