Hello family and friends, I am the niece of Thomas Snyder, aka my Uncle Tommy. Yesterday, midday, my Aunt Linda, Uncle Tommy, & their dog Buddy were traveling on the highway outside of Tonopah on the way to Bishop to do some grocery shopping. Unfortunately, my Uncle Tommy had a medical emergency while he was driving on a two-way highway, and my Aunt Linda had to help try to get the car onto the side of the road as my uncle slipped into unconsciousness. She tried to get him out of the car to start CPR but wasn’t successful on her own. Thank goodness for the truck drivers who saw her struggle and came to her rescue to assist her. They were able to get him out and start CPR until the ambulance got there; however, he did not survive this tragic incident. I am starting this fundraiser page to help cover the cost of the cremation services. This was somewhat unexpected. My aunt and mom have been trying to find some financial assistance in the community, and I am waiting on a call back from the Sheriff’s office to see if we can get some help and get the cost lower, but so far, we have been unsuccessful. Please, if you can afford any kind of donation to help cover the costs, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, any small contribution will go directly to this tragic event. My Uncle Tommy will be greatly missed. Although we find grace in the fact that he will no longer suffer anymore, this has been devastating for my mother and aunt. Also, my uncle is still currently at Northern Inyo Hospital. We’re still trying to find a mortuary who can work with us on pricing, so far unsuccessful or no help.
