Our beloved Larry Bragg has recently been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare and serious blood cancer that affects the bone marrow and bones. This news has been devastating, but Larry is facing it with courage, faith, and determination.
What Larry Is Facing
In just a few short weeks, Larry’s life has been turned upside down. Tests revealed multiple cancerous lesions in his bones, including his pelvis and spine. He suffered a painful fracture in his hip due to how much the cancer has weakened his bones. A bone marrow biopsy showed that nearly half of his bone marrow is filled with abnormal plasma cells. He also has several high-risk genetic mutations that make this an especially aggressive form of the disease.
The Road Ahead
Larry has started an intensive treatment plan that includes weekly chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and steroids. He’s fighting hard, but the reality is — this journey is long, and it comes with major physical, emotional, and financial challenges.
Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are overwhelming — covering treatment, medications, frequent clinic visits, imaging, and transportation. The financial burden will grow as Larry progresses through this journey, especially if a stem cell transplant or clinical trial becomes necessary down the line.
Why We’re Asking for Help
We’re raising funds to help ease the financial stress on Larry so he can focus on what matters most: healing and hope. Your donation will go directly toward:
• Medical expenses not covered by insurance
• Travel to and from cancer centers
• Mobility support and home safety equipment
• Meals and caregiving help during recovery
• Future treatments that may be needed
