Help Me Get Life-Changing Care at Mayo Clinic
Hi everyone,
As some of you may already know, I’ve recently been diagnosed with a rare and complex medical condition called an anovaginal fistula. This condition has drastically affected my quality of life, and unfortunately, very little is known about it—especially in cases like mine, where I don’t have Crohn’s disease, IBS, or a history of childbirth. This makes my case incredibly rare and difficult to treat.
After extensive searching, I’ve been referred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, one of the few places with the expertise to help me. However, I’m currently in a frustrating battle with insurance. If I’m not approved for coverage, I will need to pay at least $5,000 out-of-pocket just for an initial consultation.
I’m reaching out for support—financial, emotional, or simply by sharing this message. Anything helps.
Ways You Can Help:
fundraiser does take about 3% of the funds raised, so if you prefer to give directly, I’ve included other options below:
• Cash App: $KyleKaT07
• Venmo: $KyleKaT07
• Zelle: If you have my phone number, you can send directly through Zelle.
About My Condition:
I have what’s called an anovaginal fistula, which is essentially an abnormal connection between the vaginal and anal canals. This is not only painful and distressing, but it also deeply affects daily life—physically and emotionally. Because my case doesn’t follow the usual patterns doctors are used to, it’s a learning experience for everyone involved.
I’m more than willing to answer questions—there’s no shame in human anatomy, and raising awareness helps everyone.
That said, I may not be able to respond right away. This situation has been overwhelming, and I’m doing my best to take care of myself and stay hopeful.
Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for supporting me during this incredibly difficult time. I just want to feel normal again.
With gratitude,
Kylee-Ann Thomas
