Kaitlyn’s Battle After Dog Attack

Kaitlyn “Breeze” Two Bulls, a 15 year old from Oglala, South Dakota was a victim of a vicious dog attack on Saturday, June 4th at Star Village in Rapid City, S.D where she suffered multiple injuries including a facial mauling from a pittbull that took part of her cheek and lip. After the attack, Kaitlyn was rushed to Monument ER where doctors worked for 2 hours to save what flesh they could.

During the attack Kaitlyn loss large amount of blood and will now have to undergo multiple procedures in Rapid City to fix the damage. This includes plastic surgery to allow for Kaitlyn to move her mouth again and infusions to help with blood loss and infection. To add to everything, Kaitlyn will also have to drive back and forth between Oglala and Rapid City for a series of Rabies shots as the dog was undocumented.

Kaitlyn’s family started this fundraiser in hopes of getting help with the costs of travel back and forth between Oglala and Rapid and to offset any of her needs for wound care management and special needs during this time as she recovers.

All of this comes after her father was also discharged from the hospital one week ago with complications from a rare blood condition. Now the family’s savings are nearly at depletion as her mother is the only one with any income at this time.

Getting Kaitlyn all the care she needs right now and keeping her comfortable is the primary goal as she also suffers from a preexisting condtion of diabetes. That in itsself has been another battle with all the physical trauma her body endured. She will also be back and forth to endocrinogly in Rapid City as they help navigate her sugars and keep her healing through this whole process.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
