My 25-year-old son Jonathan (Jon-Michael) is having open-heart surgery to repair a dangerously large aneurysm that is very close to his heart. He’s been out of work for months due to all his medical issues. The surgery is taking place today, 6/10/25. He will need 24-hour help once released from the hospital from the family. We are discussing the best solution between family members. I would love to take him home with me full-time, but I’m still technically homeless, waiting on a mobile home with my Restore voucher. There have been mistakes made by the mobile home company, and I can’t afford the home I was promised would be free. It’s been 7 months.
Jon-Michael needs a good, safe home to be with family, especially after this very major surgery. He also has utility bills that are past due and some medical bills. His 73-year-old grandpa Raymond (Dah) has been paying what he can to keep the lights on, buying his groceries, and a special recliner to help in his recovery, but this is all very expensive, and we can’t afford it.
I’ll be staying with him during the day, but then I won’t be able to work either, so every dollar counts.
