Hi everyone.
Hoping this finds everybody well and in good health.
I’m reaching out to anybody who can see this as a plea for medical monetary assistance for a rescue mix named Slate that my daughter Victoria Pare adopted a year ago. Slate was mauled at one month old by a very large dog, which left most of his tiny body with deep puncture wounds from the mauling. At first, he progressed decently, but in the last two months, my daughter and her fiancé are financially strapped due to multiple visits to the Blue Pearl veterinary hospital in Golden Valley, MN, where they have done great work.
They have both been taking turns staying up, feeding, and giving Slate his medication as Slate’s pain is intolerable. He has a referral for Monday, June 9th, 2025, with a neurosurgeon. This could be a slipped disc, or as we were told, spinal meningitis. Multiple very expensive tests will have to be run in order to pinpoint what is wrong. After that, they may have to “fix it”by means of surgery.
I am the grandmother of Slate and we all want to give him a chance. We have all pitched in a great amount of monetary assistance for multiple vet visits in the process of elimination, through testing. We are down to the last two, one being an MRI.
If anybody finds it in their heart to donate any amount, we thank you in advance.

We are a God-fearing family trying to do the right thing by this little dog.
He has been a part of our lives and is part of our family, and we will not give up on him.
